Remembrance
In her time, Enterprise CV-6 was one of the most famous ships on earth. A celebrity of sorts, she was featured in numerous news stories during and after the war, some of which are transcribed on these pages. Arnold Olson and Jim Martin have contributed many of these clippings; others came from my father's papers.
Note: These articles generally should not be relied upon for historical fact. Many news reports published during the war, particularly in the first years, overstated - or flatly misstated - Allied achievements. However, these stories do fairly represent the Pacific War as it was portrayed by the American press.
